How to Make UGC Ads with AI Video (The Full Workflow)
From product photo to running ad in one afternoon: the exact AI UGC workflow — hooks, formats, models, costs — that brands use to ship 10 variations a week.

A year ago, UGC ads meant briefing creators, waiting two weeks, paying $150–500 a video. Today the brands winning the format ship ten AI variations a week. Here’s the exact workflow, with costs.
Step 1: Attach your product (2 minutes)
Open the composer, attach your product photo. That’s the entire brief — the model holds it pixel-consistent. Optional: add a one-line note (“matte black bottle, targets gym-goers”).
Step 2: Pick a proven pattern (3 minutes)
Don’t invent — cast. The patterns that convert, all visible with prompts in our UGC ads hub: testimonial (talking to camera), unboxing (hands + anticipation), problem-agitate-solution (the hook king), GRWM (lifestyle embedding), before/after (results). Each Launch-Ready format packages one as a 15s or 30s render.
Step 3: Render your hooks (30 minutes, ~)
The hook is the first 2 seconds — it’s 80% of ad performance. Render 5 hook variations of your chosen pattern on Kling 2.5 (each): different opening lines, different framings, different energy. This is where AI beats creators on economics: variation not $150.
Step 4: Finish the winners (15 minutes)
Take the 2 best hooks, render the full 15s or 30s ad through the matching Launch-Ready format. Export in 9:16 for reels/TikTok, 1:1 for feed.
Step 5: Run, measure, iterate (weekly)
Launch all variations. Kill losers at 48 hours. Render new hooks against your winner. The weekly loop — test ten, keep two — is the entire strategy, and it costs roughly what one creator video used to.
The honest caveats
Disclose AI content where platforms require it (Meta and TikTok both have toggles). Keep the product claims real — AI renders the footage, not the truth. And voices: current AI UGC works best with text overlays or your own VO recorded on a phone — which, honestly, adds to the UGC feel.
The full stack — product photo in, running ad out — fits in one afternoon and one credit wallet. That’s not the future of UGC; it’s this quarter.
