1. The service
OpenClips.AI (“OpenClips”, “we”) provides a multi-model AI video and image generation platform: a composer, a credit wallet, a content library, a community, and related tools. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms.
2. Accounts
You must be 16 or older. One account per person. You’re responsible for activity under your credentials. We may suspend accounts for abuse, fraud, or violation of these terms.
3. Credits and payments
Credits (⚡) are the platform’s render currency. Prices are public on the pricing page; after sign-in, the exact credit price of your render is shown on the Generate button before you pay — that number is what you pay. Subscription credits are granted monthly and don’t expire while the plan is active. PAYG credits expire 12 months after purchase. Signup grants are one-time. Unused credits are non-refundable except where required by law or covered by our refund policy.
4. Your content
You retain rights to the prompts, images and assets you upload and, subject to the underlying model vendors’ terms, to the clips and images you generate on paid plans. You grant OpenClips a license to process and store your content to operate the service.
5. Publish and remix license
Sharing ≠ publishing. Private share links (/v/, /i/) show your clip without granting further rights. Publishing to the community is explicit opt-in: you grant OpenClips and other users a non-exclusive license to view, share and remix your published clip — including its prompt and settings — with attribution. You can unpublish anytime; remixes made before unpublishing remain.
6. Acceptable use
You may not generate or upload: CSAM or sexual content involving minors (immediate termination, reports to authorities); non-consensual intimate imagery; defamatory deepfakes of real people; content you lack rights to (including likenesses used without consent); illegal, harassing, or fraudulent material. We moderate published content and may remove anything that violates these terms or law.
7. Model vendors
Roster models are provided under their vendors’ licenses; vendor names are trademarks of their owners, used nominatively. Where a vendor’s terms restrict a use case, the stricter rule applies.
8. Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenClips’ aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email and on this page with a new “updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
